In 1996, Temple Beth Sholom’s Foundation was legally established under the direction and leadership of Albert Cohen, Arthur Goldberg, Harold Kalb, Stephen Lovell and Stephen Seltzer. The purpose of this foundation was to create a substantial endowment fund which would in future years provide Temple Beth Sholom with a steady stream of income to subsidize its operations. After the untimely death of Al Cohen, the foundation changed its name to the "Albert B. Cohen Endowment Fund" and in its first ten years of activity has grown to over one million dollars. In 2003 a wall of honor was dedicated in the sanctuary lobby to recognize all donors who met the funds minimum requirement.
We encourage all members of Temple Beth Sholom to actively support the Endowment Fund. It is an opportunity for each donor to assure the continued financial stability and security of the Temple for future generations. Donations can be made by contacting Steve Seltzer or Donna Bartolomeo at the temple. Your continued support and generosity will enable the Foundation to reach its next milestone of $2,000,000.
