Acclaimed Author, Filmmaker and Human Rights Activist, Rabbi Raphael Shore

Monday, December 8, 2025 - 7:45 pm

Location: Temple Beth Sholom

An Evening with acclaimed author, filmmaker and human rights activist author, Rabbi Raphael Shore

Join Rabbi Raphael Shore for a powerful and timely conversation centered on his new book, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Jew? In it, Shore confronts antisemitism head-on—tracing its roots from Nazi ideology to radical Islamist movements while urging Jews to reject a narrative of victimhood and embrace their mission as a “light unto the nations,” transforming hostility into purpose and resilience.

An accomplished filmmaker as well, Shore is the founder of OpenDor Media and the Clarion Project, having produced 18 acclaimed documentaries—among them Obsession, Beneath the Helmet, and Crossing the Line with over 150 million views globally. He is also the director of Tragic Awakening, which was screened at TBS on the eve of Shavuot last spring.

In the wake of October 7—the deadliest day for Jews since Kristallnacht—Shore’s message carries renewed urgency, sparking essential conversations about Jewish identity, strength, and our role in a fractured world.

Transform Hate. Strengthen Resilience. Find Jewish Purpose.
