A special event that will honor Judith Kaplan’s groundbreaking achievement as the first Bat Mitzvah, as well as the girls and women who have followed in her footsteps.

Join TBS for its annual Sisterhood Shabbat service, in which women will take the lead in chanting the prayers and reading from the Torah. We’ll celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bat Mitzvah, and we’ll honor the accomplishments of the first Bat Mitzvah girl in 1922 as well as TBS’ own Bat Mitzvah girls of 2022, together with Bat Mitzvahs of Sisterhood Members throughout the decades!
