The Books of Wisdom with Zahava Rosenfeld

Three books in our Bible are attributed to the wise King Solomon: Shir Hashirim (The Song of Songs), Mishlei (Proverbs) and Kohelet (Ecclesiastes). The first, the Song Of Songs, is a lyric expression of youthful love. The second, Proverbs, imparts the wisdom of a mature adult teaching the younger generation through fables and words of wisdom, the right way to live.
The third book, Kohelet, reveals the perspective of a wise elder, having lived many full years and facing the ever-closer prospect of death. It seems at times negative and pessimistic. Yet it was include in our scriptures. Can we identify with these texts? What lessons might we learn from them that apply to our lives today? You are invited to join us in analyzing the wisdom of Solomon together in this class.
