Galeet Dardashti’s Monajat
Monajat was inspired by old and haunting recordings of Jewish prayers chanted by her late grandfather, Younes Dardashti, a master singer of Persian classical music in the 1950s/60s. She sings with remixed samples of her grandfather’s legacy recordings. Galeet riffs off these old tapes and composes a soundscape of original music. She immerses audiences in Persian melodies. Her powerful performance is both deeply Jewish and deeply Persian at a time of tremendous anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.
Ghazal Mizrahi
Ghazal Mizrahi is a professional singer, private vocal coach, piano instructor and photographer. With a deep passion for music, storytelling and cultural expression, Ghazal sings across many genres—though jazz is her true forte—and brings a soulful authenticity to every piece she performs. Her repertoire spans multiple languages and traditions, allowing her to connect with diverse audiences around the world. Ghazal continues to uplift and inspire in every space she enters.
