Calling all High School & College Students, their families and anyone interested in learning how to combat antisemitism. Recognize it! Learn how to combat it! Be empowered!

Join us as we welcome Sara Beckerman and learn to develop the skills to counteract antizionism/antisemitism on college campuses.

Sara Beckerman landed in Israel in January, 2000 on the first Birthright Israel flight. She went on to earn a BA in Economics and Communication from Rutgers University and an MA in Jewish Studies from the Davidson School of Education at JTS. Sara has spent the last 20 years inspiring students at Jewish day schools, Hebrew Schools and Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. Sara currently teaches Jewish Studies, Tefillah and Israeli Dance at the Schechter School of Long Island. Sara has developed and taught the High School Seminar course for nearly 10 years, training students in grades 11 and 12 to confront antizionism and antisemitism on the college campus and navigate the complex narratives surrounding criticism of Israel. Sara is also Director of the Hebrew Home Page at the JCC of Manhattan, which brings together 50 tutors and 400+ students in grades 1-adult to learn Hebrew decoding, prayer, conversation, Jewish History and Bar Mitzvah prep in virtual sessions with interactive content. Sara lives in West Hempstead with her husband and 3 children.
