Prayer is an essential part of people and cultures worldwide since ancient times. Why do people have the need to pray? What kind of prayers exist? What are we trying to convey and achieve through prayer? And the big question – is anyone listening? Does God hear our prayers? In this course, we will analyze the above questions through the lens of different Biblical characters who prayed, focusing on the content of their prayers. Through an examination of specific prayers uttered by Moses, David, Chana and King Solomon, we will reflect on whether we personally connect with their prayers, and how they may speak to us in present day times.
