LI 2 Israel: The Mezuzah Effect
11:30 AM to 12:15 PM: TBS Religious School & ECC Families, enjoy a PTA Sponsored Pre-Event Lunch with Pizza 🍕, Salad 🥗 & Scavenger Hunt
12:15 PM to 1 PM: The Fun Continues – The entire congregation is welcome to register for the balance of this exciting program.
Join families across Long Island in a heartfelt mission of healing and hope for Israel. Together, we’ll learn about and craft beautiful, hand-made Mezuzot—symbols of faith, home, and protection—as part of a coordinated Long Island effort to support those displaced in Israel due to the recent war.
✨ Each family will create two Mezuzot:
- One to bless your own home
- One to send to a displaced Israeli family, complete with a Kosher parchment, (klaf) and your personal message of love and strength
When Israeli families finally return home, they’ll find your gift waiting—a message from across the sea saying, Bruchim Haba’im Habaytah—Welcome Home.
🎨 Experience includes:
- A hands-on Mezuzah crafting workshop for all ages
- A live Sofer (scribe) demonstration
Project Fee: $54 per set
Optional Kosher Parchment (for home Mezuzah): $40 (pre-ordering required)
Come be part of this Long Island-wide act of love, unity, and renewal. Let’s send light from our homes to theirs.
RSVP Required by November 11th
