Yiddishkeit with Ruth Solomon
Do you know the Yiddish words for: trouble & woes, a fool, the whole family, the truth? How about this proverb? Gezunt kumt far parnose (Health comes before making a living). The colorful rhetoric of Yiddish will connect us to our childhood, to our tradition and to each other through the language of world-famous phrases, folk songs, poetry, and literature. To learn and laugh more, please join us via Zoom. The class topic for this week is a continuation of our previous class, Chapter 9. We will be starting with Light-as-a- Feather Matza Balls and then move on to What’s a Meal Without Cake? It’s going to be a fun class. All are welcome! Please Note: This class is part of our Yiddish series. All classes will be held from 11:00-12:00. Reminders will be send out prior to each class. Come join us. It’s lots of fun.
