THE HINEINI INITIATIVE

You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. – Rabbi Tarfon, Ethics of the Fathers 2:21

As the world’s most enduring persecuted community, we have the experience – and the obligation – to seize our own history and apply it to advance the rights of others. Zioness For Racial Justice

The word Hineini, I am here, was used by our Biblical ancestors to indicate their readiness to respond to the Divine call. The goal of this initiative is to confront discrimination and racism in today’s society and to promote equal treatment for people of all ethnicities. Through education and outreach we strive to become part of the solution to systemic racism, a 400 year old blight on the fabric of America.
