Amit Yaacov, our community Shaliach will share his experience in Gaza. Amit left Long Island to serve and has now returned to our community. Representative members of the Temple Beth Sholom Mission will offer reflections on their emotionally impactful trip.
We will also come together to offer the hostages and their families messages of hope, support, courage and love.
Since the unfathomable events of October 7th, the lives of more than 240 hostages, their families and friends have been turned into a living nightmare. The Coming Home Soon initiative was created by Israeli artist, Inbar Hasson. The initiative focuses on illuminating the plight of each hostage through personal stories and messages from around the world. Coming Home Soon, is non-political and endeavors to remind people that each hostage, whether Jewish, Muslim or Christian, is a human being and each human being has a story. Beginning in Amsterdam, the initiative has traveled around the world from Hague to Curacao and now to Beth Sholom.
