Join us to honor those that make our daily minyan possible – our minyaneers, honor those that ensure our future – our teens and welcome our guest speaker Associate Professor Abi Doukhan.
Abi Doukhan Is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY). She holds a Masters in philosophy from the Sorbonne and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Nanterre in Paris, France. Her publications include Emmanuel Levinas: A Philosophy of Exile (Bloomsbury, 2012), Biblical Portraits of Exile (Routledge, 2016) and Womanist Wisdom in the Song of Songs: Secrets of an African Princess (Palgrave, 2019). She has a forthcoming book entitled In the Mother’s House: The Lost Biblical Teachings on Wisdom, Love and Marriage (Mercer University Press, 2025).
Associate Professor Doukan will address the Congregation from the bima and will join us for a special kiddush luncheon honoring our Minyaneers and Teens. Professor Doukan will be taking questions following the kiddush in the Chapel.
