Tisha B’Av is a day of mourning and fasting on which we remember the destruction of our ancient Temples in Jerusalem. On Tisha B’Av, we grapple with the ways in which our world is imperfect, and resolve to repair it through our actions. Whether or not you fast, and even if you have never observed Tisha B’Av, the Service can be very meaningful. We will discuss the how and why behind this important day on the Jewish calendar.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 26
We will gather for Mincha at 7:45 PM followed by Torah study with Rabbi Ben-Gideon & Rabbi Rosenthal. Then we will continue with Ma’ariv and the chanting of Eicha.
THURSDAY, JULY 27
7:30 AM (Chapel): Shacharit Service (please park along the tree line opposite the ECC entrance)
2:00 PM (Sanctuary): Mincha Service (please park along the tree line opposite the ECC entrance)
9:00 PM (Chapel): Ma’ariv Service
