What’s your favorite verse in the Torah?
As part of our annual Shavuot learning program (Tikkun Leyl Shavuot) we’re asking you, our TBS family, to share your favorite sentence from the Tanach, Siddur, or Talmud and explain how it connects to your experiences and outlook on life.
This interactive session, which will begin at 9 PM on Sunday, June 1st, is an amazing opportunity to learn a variety of Torah and get to know each other better! Here are a few guidelines:
- Keep it under five: Aim to speak for a maximum of five minutes. We want as many people as possible to speak in this session.
- Give context: While we will provide source sheets with all the selected verses in Hebrew and English, you’ll need to provide some context about where the verse comes from and the narrative. Tell us how a verse from thousands or hundreds of years ago relates to you in your life today.
- Make it personal: Don’t forget to say why the sentence resonates with you. Share a story from your life that took on new meaning for you after reading the verse.
We can’t wait to hear your stories on Shavuot! Sign up today!
